Dr. Dierk Buss is an EY Partner based in Munich and leads the Private Equity Strategy & Execution team of EY-Parthenon in Germany. He advises private equity firms, portfolio companies, and corporate leaders on operational transformation, value creation, and M&A execution.

With more than 20 years of experience as a senior advisor and interim executive, Dierk helps organizations enhance performance, accelerate cash generation, and deliver sustainable cost reductions. His expertise spans operational due diligence, performance improvement and post-deal value creation.

Throughout his career, Dierk has worked closely with executive teams and investors to lead complex change programs, drive operational excellence, and unlock operational value. He has also served in interim leadership roles, supporting organizations through critical periods of change.

Before joining EY, Dierk spent approximately 15 years with AlixPartners and Booz Allen Hamilton, where he advised clients on transformation, restructuring, and operational improvement initiatives across a wide range of industries.

Dierk holds a PhD from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a degree in Business Administration from the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany.
