Kearney Moderator

Michael Jenkins leads Kearney’s Private Equity and M&A practice in the Americas and drives the firm’s corporate strategy work. “Our focus in private equity centers on value creation and making sure the transaction pays,” he says. This means doing the hard work in portfolio operations—helping companies build the right strategy, develop the right capabilities, and drive the execution needed to deliver value. On the M&A side, he leads Kearney’s end-to-end support for large and mid-sized transactions, with the same focus on delivering value.Michael also drives Kearney’s corporate strategy work, helping executives tackle the challenges that matter most. With more than 30 years of experience as a consultant, investment banker, and private equity professional—on both the deal side and operations side—he’s worked with over 100 CEOs. “I’ve always focused on understanding what is on the chief executive’s agenda and figuring out the priorities necessary to execute and deliver against that,” he says. The goal: making sure Kearney delivers the highest ROI of any investment clients make all year. “That means turning strategy into execution, and execution into performance, with clear answers on where to grow, how to profit, and which capabilities will endure.”Michael founded and ran Kearney’s transformation practice for eight years, building it into a significant business. His work on CEO-led transformation is featured in “What’s Your Transformation Story?” and he's co-authoring the upcoming book, Make Shift Happen, set to publish later this year.Outside work, Michael loves to travel, enjoys Michelin-starred restaurants, and experiments with at-home fermentation and other culinary endeavors. Based in New York, he’s a proud father of three and a grandfather. He also plays golf.
